E-Levy Bill Passed By Parliament [Read More…]

The Parliament of the Republic of Ghana has on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 passed the controversial Electronic Transaction Levy popularly known as E-Levy.

Earlier on Tuesday, the finance minister of government of Ghana moved the motion of the E-Levy bill to be accepted by the house for a debate.

However, the minority in Parliament staged a walk out due to their stance that the bill seeks to tax the poor Ghanaians.

The speaker of parliament, ASK Bagbin conducted a voice vote over items of the motion in the absence of the minority.
