FULL TEXT: Concerned Drivers To Increase Transport Fare By 40%
The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana (C-DAG) to increase transportation fare by 40% effective from Monday, 17th January, 2022.
A statement released by the C-DAG, informing the general public and commercial transport users the plan to increase fare by 40%.
According to the group, this incremental rate (40%), is caused by the continual hike in fuel prices, hence the best way to avoid higher margin of lost is to increase the fare.
It adds that even though the increment cannot bring comfort, it can only curb the unbearable hardship facing drivers currently.
The Association says the increment of the transport fare will take effect from Monday, 17th January, 2022. It by this statement, urges Ghanaians to side with drivers and avoid fighting drivers and conductors when the new fare take effect.
