JUST IN: Reopening Date For Colleges Of Education Still Holds

The news available to MyAfro Ghana is that the reopening date for Public Colleges of Education has been postponed, which is not true according to further investigations.


In a notice served by the management of Mount Mary College of Education indicates that the reopening date, which is scheduled on 8th January, 2022 has been postponed till further notice. Per investigation, the news was fake and not from an authentic source.


In regards to the reopening of colleges of education, it is factual that there is no change in date of resumption.


Meanwhile, information available indicates that the reopening date for some colleges especially, Akatsi College of Education still holds. The management of Akatsico alleged the SRC that the date for levels 100 and 300 students still holds and that students are entreated to start preparing for school from the 8th January, 2022.


The management further explained that, students will be assigned Hall of Residence when they arrive but for lectures, it may be difficult. This is because College of Education Teachers’ Association of Ghana (CETAG) declared strike, which begun on the 6th of January, 2022.
