The news in is that some NPP MPs are refusing to support the E-Levy. Hence, the delay in the reintroduction of the Bill to Parliament for reconsideration.
Information available to myafroghana.com reveals that some Members of Parliament on the side of the NPP are pulling out of line of support for the E-Levy policy.
The Politician and Management Strategist, Sylvester A. Mensah has revealed that the Majority group in Parliament are delaying the reintroduction of the bill because they do not have the numbers.
“NPP’s Parliamentary majority group is again delaying the re-introduction of the E-Levy bill/motion because they don’t have the numbers”.
“They have been struggling to get 138 MPs without success”, he alleged.
According to him, some NPP legislators “have refused to be whipped in line to present themselves to be counted”.
“We’re watching the diversionary consultations and town hall meetings intended to hide the NPP’s internal frustrations”, Sylvester Mensah added.
