When You Travel To Other Countries, You Will See Ghana Is Far Gone – Dr. Bawumia
The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, during his visit to churches on 31st crossover night says when Ghanaians travel, they will see Ghana is far gone.
The Vice President was at the Ayigya Church of Pentecost, Bremang Ebenezer Methodist Church and St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, all in Kumasi.
When given the podium to give speech, he stated that Ghana is a special country, but Ghanaians take it for granted sometimes.
He added that until Ghanaians go to other countries, they do not know how they are blessed as a country.
“We have a very special country; this country Ghana. Sometimes we take it for granted; until you go to other countries you don’t know how we are blessed as a country. We are a peaceful country; we’re the second most peaceful country in Africa and also the most peaceful in West Africa.”
He also addressed the facts that God’s blessings have been with Ghanaians, which make Ghanaians united irrespective of religious affiliations and culture.
“We are very lucky and I think that part of what God’s blessings have been for us, is that we are very united as a country, notwithstanding our diversity.”
He added that, it is only in Ghana you will see the Chief Imam goes to goes to church sometimes. Thus a country where one will see a Muslim Vice President goes to church to crossover into the new year.
“We are the only country where you will see the Chief Imam go to church to celebrate his 100th birthday. We are the country where you’ll see the Muslim Vice President come to church to crossover into 2022.
He stated categorically, that Ghana is a beautiful country. And Ghanaians must keep it peaceful just as it has been for years.
“It is a beautiful country and so we want to keep it peaceful just as we have done over the years. That is to be the most peaceful country in West Africa and second most peaceful in Africa as a whole.”
He concluded by wishing all a very successful new year.
